Hollywood Party at the Palace - 2/27/10
Supporters of the Westmoreland Cultural Trust went back to the Age of Aquarius at the fifth annual Hollywood Party at The Palace. The event’s 220 guests were “Grooving to the ‘60s” during the evening at the theatre, which included plenty of performances, everything from renditions of songs by The Supremes and Frankie Avalon, to show tunes from 1960s musical staples such as West Side Story, Hair, and Bye Bye Birdie. The party raised more than $30,000. “We’re very pleased with the event. It was a fun crowd, and people are already talking about the ‘70s for next year,” says Vonnie Goldsbourough, assistant to the president of the Westmoreland Cultural Trust. Photography by Megan Wylie
