Courage for the Cure Gala - 6/26/09
Two hundred and twenty people danced and dined at the National Pancreas Foundation’s Courage for a Cure Gala. Hosted at the Circuit Center and Ballroom at the SouthSide Works, guests enjoyed music by No Bad Ju-Ju and fare catered by the Fluted Mushroom. The event honored Dr. Adam Slivka, professor of medicine with the University of Pittsburgh Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, with the 2009 Courage Award. Proceeds from the night, totaling $150,000, went to the National Pancreas Foundation to support research and awareness of pancreatic cancer. Photography by Megan Wylie
