Black Tie and Tailpipes Gala - 7/16/10
Cars, cocktails, and charity captivated the crowd attending the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix’s Black Tie & Tailpipes Gala. The elegant annual affair kicks off the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix’s Race Week, which includes10 days of races, car shows, and fast fun. As guests arrived in their posh rides and vintage autos, the parking lot of the Pittsburgh Golf Club in Schenley Park transformed into the evening’s car show. More than 250 guests enjoyed the sounds of JB & The Band and dined on international fare from England, Germany, Italy, and America — in honor of the world’s leading car manufacturers. A live and silent auction helped raise more than $50,000 to benefit the Autism Society of Pittsburgh and Allegheny Valley School. Dan DelBianco, Executive Director for the Pittsburgh Grand Prix, described the celebration as, “Spectacular! It really was a party!”
