Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh - 7/16/10
“Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh is an opportunity to celebrate the diversity and vibrancy of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s efforts over the past two-and-a-half decades,” says Doug Kassab, co-chair of the event, which also serves as an exclusive way to experience the summer Gallery Crawl. This year, the crawl included three venues: the Trust Arts Education Center, 121 Seventh Street, and the Byham Theater. “It really draws a broad range of people on different art and cultural levels who support the Trust. They make it a dynamic event,” says Kassab. Ticket holders visited the first two watering stops, which played host to artists both visual and culinary. The evening drew to a spectacular close with an unforgettable party at the Byham Theater. Guests delighted in cocktails and fare from some of the city’s premier restaurants as they were dazzled by psychic entertainment and the sounds of DJ Edgar UM, who transformed the 100-year-old theater stage into a hip nightclub.
