2Steps2Work: Africa Benefit Festival - 9/23/10
The Workforce Development Global Alliance brought a little bit of Africa to Pittsburgh with its 2Steps2Work Benefit Festival. More than 175 guests, dressed in vibrant traditional African attire, sampled Kenyan-inspired cuisine at LeMont on Mount Washington and grooved to music by Emmai and HIP HOP on L.O.C.K. The WDGA presented former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Chuck Sanders and his wife, Elisa, with the WDGA Humanitarian Award for their steadfast dedication to the youth of Pittsburgh and global communities. The money raised will be used to further the WDGA’s mission “to equip young people to step out of violence and step into their destiny.”
