Family House Polo Match- 9/12/09
The Virginia International Polo Club played against the Potomic Polo Club in front of 1,800 guests at Hartwood Acres for the 26th Annual Family House Polo Match. The day’s festivities kicked off with tailgate parties, a Boutique Village, an on-field vintage car display, and raffle ticket sales. At halftime, guests stepped out for a traditional divot stomp. “It’s an actual polo match and the players and the teams are playing like they’re playing in the championship match. It’s just wonderful to see that and it’s all for a good cause,” says Marcia Cross, director of development for Family House. The day raised $225,000 for the organization.
