The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra's A Golden Gala
The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra hosted A Golden Gala honoring — and showcasing a performance of — newly appointed music director Manfred Honeck and internationally acclaimed pianist Lang Lang. Cocktails at Heinz Hall kicked off the gala, that took inspiration from Honeck’s Austrian heritage by incorporating red, ivory, and gold into the color scheme wherever possible. Post-performance, 510 guests enjoyed a dinner of “Austrian Elegance” at the PPG Wintergarden. The Symphony’s largest event, it raised $682,000. Photos by Megan Wylie.
