Pittsburgh Recast Cast Party : The Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators gave a noteworthy performance — in the form of a commemorative kickoff party — to celebrate Pittsburgh’s 250th year and PSI’s 10th anniversary show, Pittsburgh Recast. The Pittsburgh Recast Cast Party drew a crowd of 700 to the Senator John Heinz History Center. The exhibit of 53 illustrations by 38 artists “documents the stories in and of Pittsburgh” and recognizes the influential people in Pittsburgh’s past 250 years. Photography by David Bachman.

Restaurant Association Awards Gala & Installation Dinner : Held at the Senator John Heinz History Center.  Presented by the Western Pennsylvania Restaurant Association. Special salutes were offered to Yves Carreau, who was named Restaurateur of the Year for his two innovative Cultural District eateries — Sonoma Grille and Seviche.  Photography by David Bachman.
