Salvation Army's 'Doing the Most Good' Dinner - 11/11/10
The Salvation Army Western Pennsylvania Division and former Pittsburgh Steeler Jerome Bettis joined forces to host the annual Doing the Most Good Dinner at the Sheraton Station Square. The evening started off with a rousing inspirational speech by Bettis, who spoke about the importance of giving back to the community and explained his personal charitable motivations. The dinner also honored Pittsburgh community members for their exemplary service and efforts, both locally and abroad, with WPXI-TV’s Darieth Chisolm serving as the master of ceremonies. “The spirit of the event focused on giving to others,” says Ginny Knor, Director of Public Relations and Marketing for the Salvation Army Western Pennsylvania Division. All of the proceeds from the event will aid the Salvation Army’s endeavors in Western Pennsylvania.
