Fashion Flashback: 40 Years of Designer Days- 10/28/10
More than 300 fashionistas were strutting their stuff in a 40-year fashion retrospective at the 2010 Designer Days Patron Event, Fashion Flashback: 40 Years of Designer Days. Fashion designer and honorary chair Kiya Tomlin hosted the kick-off for the National Council for Jewish Women Pittsburgh Section’s fundraising event at the Monroeville Convention Center. The evening honored Designer Day chairs from the past 40 years and offered guests the opportunity to shop for discounted designer duds. “We focused on the history of the event and the organization itself,” says Bonnie Rubin, Chief Operating Officer of NCJW. “We’ve taken it to the next level by helping people to understand what we do as an organization. We’re not just a big clothing sale; we want people to know that we do things for the community.” The event raised more than $100,000 for the organization.
