31st Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Corporate Roast - 9/21/10
More than 400 guests gathered at CONSOL Energy Center for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pittsburgh’s 31st Annual Corporate Roast to poke fun at the man of the night, David J. Malone, president and CEO of Gateway Financial. “He was a wonderful person to roast. He’s a genuinely good person and helped raise a lot of money,” says Jan Glick, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters. Malone accepted the all-in-good-fun teasing from his roasters, PNC Bank President Sy Holzer, Pittsburgh Penguins President and CEO David Morehouse, Pittsburgh Steelers President Art Rooney II, and Highmark President and CEO Dr. Ken Melani. One of the funniest moments occurred during a pre-taped presentation from the Steelers locker room, asking the players who David Malone is. “I think he picks up my garbage once a week,” Chris Hoke remarked with a grin. A remarkable $266,000 was raised to support one-on-one mentoring programs across Southwestern Pennsylvania.
