Pointe In Time Ball - 10/24/09
The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre celebrated its legacy at the Pointe in Time Ball at the Hilton Pittsburgh. The phenomenal ballet company engaged 400 attendees with dance numbers from Company B, Step Touch, and The Sleeping Beauty. The Hilton catered a succulent dinner of filet mignon, fondant potatoes, and stuffed tomatoes. In a live auction, guests bid on a Smithsonian gem tour, 40th Anniversary necklace and earring set by Robert Levine, and a custom designed tutu by PBT’s costumier Janet Marie Groom. A champagne toast saluted the ballet theatre’s work and acknowledged the board members in attendance who help make it possible. After a decadent desert, guests grooved to the music of the studio-e Band. The night ended with an after party called Afterpointe, where guests danced the night away while enjoying cocktails. “The whole evening was just a really great celebration of Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s past 40 years,” says Mandy Wilson, public relations manager.
