13th Annual Mini-Golf Classic - 6/8/10
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Heath Miller played on a different kind of turf as he hosted the 13th Annual Mini-Golf Classic at Robert Morris University’s Island Sports Center. The outing of 100 people was a hole in one, successfully raising $20,525 for Project Bundle-Up, a non-profit organization that provides more than 7,500 children and elderly warm winter outerwear every year. “Everyone just looked like they were having a good time,” says Melissa Fereday, Director of Project Bundle-Up. Teams received custom apparel, had their photo taken with Miller, and each member of the winning team received a professional plaque commemorating the victory. “Heath has been great for the event,” says Fereday. “He’s a genuinely nice guy — and a good putter!”
